works every time; dont see the reason to spend $5 on the "upgraded" version.

It needs a stop fast forward and rewind button

I couldnt get it to connect to my pc. It would see it 50% of the time but still nothing.

You have to buy the full version to select files to be played. You can connect and browse, but no option to select and play the desired files. Boo.

It is the best VLC Remote out there though I think app icon should be better.

You can only browse files on your computer. It will not let you play them unless you purchase the full version. THAT is not a remote! Dont bother downloading unless you buy the full version

This is a fantastic app with numerous functions. Other reviewers commented that you cant open files on your counter with it, true, you have to open them on your computer but then you can watch an entire movie without the need to navigate on your computer. Seek, pause, change playback speed-you can even take a screen shot with this remote and it saves to your computer! Awesome app and also super easy setup-just make sure to enable Bluetooth on both devices.

Fantastic app! So cool. Though if you have a firewall you cant adjust (like the one on my work pc) it wont work...but nothing else would either. Works great with my personal PCs.

I had all but given up on finding a reliable VLC remote, but then this gem came into my life! Its extremely simple to setup and use. And it actually works!

if you use vlc to watch video at home this is a must have app. Get the free version and then pay for it once you use it and love it.

Use it constantly. Great app. Im sure the full version is great but Im too cheap.

Works very well! I like the interface design as well as how accurately the controls work over wireless. The desktop version should come with the configuration instead of having to download and run the "helper" application though. Other than that, flawless!
