Very useful app to control the most used media player on the market!

It looks and feels great, but the free version does not even allow you to start a simple video.

This latest update is broken. The app used to work, then when I opened it this evening, I noticed a blank grey screen with no buttons, no on screen options, nothing. Checked the update log, and it updated to version 9.2 on July 15 - the date of this review. I deleted and re-downloaded, restarted the phone, same result. First world problem for a free app, but save yourself the headache and wait until they fix this. Bummed

The response time on the app and the vlc on the computer functions well and it doesnt lose connection. Rarely does it drop, lots of controls that I am still learn. Overall very good.

Its easy to use and helps aton when youre in bed or lazy to get to your computer. One thing after update widget stopped working.

There was no way to manually save or even enter a computer IP. Sure, there was an option in the menu, but, once selected, no way to bring-up the keyboard to type anything for the entry.

Exactly the app I was looking for, and it performed flawlessly for a presentation I gave. Rob was extremely helpful and responsive when I had a question about playback speed (it’s there - I just didn’t scroll down to find it LOL). Thanks, Rob! Highly recommended.

I dont know what everyone is complaining about? Im still using the trial and it works great and fast! Im assuming its the computer and wifi that must be bad to have serious lag issues and not working for others. I have been debating on purchasing it so it can be even better. It works great for me!

installed, connected with my computer and crashes instantly. wont stay open for 2 seconds. now Ive tried this twice and burned both times.

Apparently you have to buy the "pro" version to be able to select a file. All this does is start and stop something that has been queued up on the computer. Bait and switch is what comes to mind. And normally Im a big fan of VLC. I just wanted something that worked on an iPod.

It will not work and yes I set it up and tested it but the app will not find computer

VLC Youre the best...

Discovery of VLC servers in the network is a hit and miss. It can not list directories with many files. It just shows those directories as empty. First I thought app had accidentally deleted all files in the directory, but no, it just can not list the files. The threshold seems to be around 20 files or so. This means if you many movies or tv shows under the same directory (normal situation), this app is useless.

This garbage app crashes constantly!

This app no longer works with VLC on my Mac. The troubleshooter doest fix the problem anymore. Update needed!!!!!!

Setup worked like a charm, connected no problem, browsed files on iMac and external no problem. Couldnt play files, FAIL. Kept on saying "Upgrade to full version".
